POTTERY DAY
On Thursday 11th October the nursery went to the Nairobi Art centre for a pottery day. On reaching there we were welcomed inside and were given a place to sit. The children were shown what you can make out of clay.
Then, the children were shown what clay actually looks like.
He then started to knead the clay so that we could start making something out of it.
Then he started to cut thorugh it with a thread and gave each child a piece to roll and make a ball.
Then the children made two sections of the ball and made a flat like chapatti out of the first ball.
Then the children made small balls and pressed them onto the big flat piece.
Them they made even more smaller balls and placed them in the middle.
Then, we made a stem.
Wallah! we have made a sunflower.
Then we had our snack time.
All of us had a great time and enjoyed making our sunflower.
